The origin (or mouth) of this river is very famous because
it has yielded excellent 10-12 lb trout.

This stretch of the Limay is located very close to Bariloche and has so many fine fishing grounds that you could easily be three days floating and fishing and still not be prepared to finish.

Catching brown and rainbow trout measuring 12-22 inches is a normal occurrence, but you may come across even bigger surprises or, at Confluencia, where the Traful River drains, you might find yourself catching some land-locked Atlantic salmon.
